A while ago Thomas Bader wrote a blog post about ”Beauty is in the eye of the beholder“. What happened to me in Hanover at the EMO show goes in that direction. Charlie, you'll like that:

A man, accompanied by his wife, stopped to admire the Haas Multigrind® CA grinding machine on which we were just demonstrating a turbine component grinding process. After giving the visitor a few minutes to soak it all in, I approached him to ask if he had any questions or was thinking about a particular manufacturing challenge he could solve with the Multigrind® of Haas Schleifmaschinen . He only replied: ”It's beautiful.“ His wife, hearing his remark, half-jokingly showed some jealous body language fearing that the Haas grinder had stolen some of her husband's affection. I told her not to worry... it is a different kind of beautiful.
