Banker bashing, i.e. the verbal, rather undifferentiated impact on banks, has been one of the favourite pastimes of many politicians and media people since the beginning of the financial crisis. And yes, as in every industry there are a few black sheep among the banks that have contributed their share to the financial crisis, in which we will probably be stuck for a long time to come. But by putting all banks and their employees on the same footing, we're making it really easy for ourselves. After all, the politicians responsible and, last but not least, the private investors who are eager to make a profit are anything but innocent of the current misery.

SMEs need medium-sized banks

So it's time to take up the cudgels for those banks and their employees who are seriously concerned with the concerns and business of their medium-sized customers. For example, Lothar Broda, CEO of Kreissparkasse Tuttlingen, took the time two weeks ago to visit our stand at the AMB in Stuttgart.
