Clamping over the reference point of the bore increases the precision of the profile during grinding. The peripheral geometries of the insert can now also be machined in the same clamping operation. Different insert thicknesses are
accommodated by the expanding mandrel clamping system and fixed more stable than before using a PV holder. Faster changeover times and more flexibility on top. Very exciting!
