Hubble, Haas Schleifmaschinen und the curiosity
I believe in curiosity and openness for elementary qualities, both in my private life and at work. The engineer, it is said, has been curious since birth, and is actually always on the lookout for a better solution to a technical problem - not always to the delight of his spouses, by the way. In the current advertising motif for our grinding flagship, the Multigrind® CB, the photo of the Hubble telescope (named after the astronomer Edwin Hubble) stands for this curiosity, which gives us the right stimulus in everyday life. So it's clear that we have a very special relationship with our Hubble. And that's why we also followed NASA's Hubble repair mission with interest a few weeks ago. Everything seems to have worked out. According to NASA, Hubble will transmit spectacular images to Earth at least until 2014 and fuel our curiosity about what's out there. Down here on Earth, more precisely in Trossingen at Haas Schleifmaschinen, we are working hard during this time on new grinding solutions and software developments that will make our customers' work even easier. An example of this is the grinding process for the complete machining of turbine blade blades - just one of many innovations we are currently working on. So: always stay curious!
