The hip stem forms part of the artificial hip. Depending on the patient’s bone quality, the medicinal team can choose between fitting a cementless or a cemented hip stem. Alongside bone quality, the focus is on the anatomical structure of the thigh bone. To be able to ensure the provision of an optimum hip, various shapes of artificial hip are available. We distinguish between straight stems and short stems.
