The module is based on the proven spiral groove technology and has been specifically further developed for demanding cutter shapes. This allows complex tooth and cutting geometries to be easily integrated into the manufacturing process. Even multi-stage geometries and variable profile transitions can be implemented effortlessly.

 

  • Complex geometries with high flexibility: Burrs often have highly developed and complex shapes that require precise control of the manufacturing processes. Multigrind® Horizon supports cylindrical, conical, spherical, and hybrid shapes, which can be efficiently manufactured using the module.
  • Automated and manual gear adjustment: A standout feature is the grouped gearing, where the grooves can be individually designed. The software offers automatic creation based on a few parameters or an expert mode for complete freedom in programming. To optimize the result, the software includes an automatic smoothing function.
  • Simple parameterization and high user-friendliness: Thanks to intelligent parameter control, changes to a feature, such as diameter, are automatically applied to all relevant machine data. This allows for quick and error-free adjustment of the cutter geometry, such as diameter and the number of grooves
  • Versatility in cutter design: The burr software module offers full flexibility regarding the cutting geometry. This includes right- and left-hand cutting, right- or left-spiraled, chip breakers, multiple clearance angles on the periphery, uneven groove division, and variable spiral pitches.
  • High efficiency through fast calculations: The software's fast calculation times ensure efficient production even with complex cutter geometries. This reduces downtime and optimizes manufacturing processes, enabling companies to lower production costs and increase competitiveness.
