In grinding technology, the trend towards complete machining continues. This saves transport and storage capacities, especially for workpieces with complex geometries, which already have to be finished on grinding machines with high degrees of freedom. At the same time, fewer machining operations mean higher precision. Examples of this are high-quality tools for milling, indexable inserts or step drills". This was written in December 2014 by the traditional Swiss Technical Review in a report on the new, compact Multigrind® CU from Haas Schleifmaschinen.
