A blessed carnival

It's all over the place.

As some of you may have noticed, the fifth season is approaching its peak. It is a street carnival, and since we in Trossingen are only a ridiculous fool's jump away from the carnival stronghold of Rottweil, it is quite possible that you will not be able to reach one or the other employee at Haas in the next few days, or only to a limited extent. But do not worry, there are enough colleagues here for you who are not quite so foolish - and on "Aschermittwoch" everything is over anyway.

Regional differences in carnival called "Fasnet", "Fasching" and "Karneval"

For all blog readers, who are not so familiar with the regional differences between "Fasnet", "Fasching" and "Karneval", I found a small film. Let the Rottweiler folklorist Prof. Dr. Werner Mezger, the carnival expert par excellence, enlighten you briefly. For many years Werner Mezger has been commenting on the Swabian-Alemannic "Fasnet" on ARD and SWR with knowledge and humour.

Meeting Point: Economy – after carnival

By the way, you can see Prof. Mezger live. On March 7, 2015, he will give a lecture at the Metting Point Economy of the Business School Alb-Schwarzwald in Rottweil. His topic in the city hall of  Rottweil: "Megatrends - Challenge and Opportunity". Haas Schleifmaschinen will also be present at this forum. If you like, we will be happy to send you more information. Just send us an e-mail.
