Online training at Haas Schleifmaschinen prepares for the future

Simone Dreher knows very well that home offices and reduced production are challenging for companies, yet she is optimistic about the current situation.  As HR manager, Simone Dreher is fully aware of the correlation between employee training and company success. And so it is not surprising that Haas Schleifmaschinen is currently offering a wide range of professional training courses.

Haas Schleifmaschinen: Simone Dreher - HR Manager.

Multigrind® very close despite safety distance with online training

"Our training academy offers our customers a very convenient service here," enthusiastically says Simone Dreher, who always takes a close look at such offers at Haas Schleifmaschinen. We offer our customers two different formats to bring their knowledge up to date: Live streaming and online training. "This allows our customers' employees to take part in the training courses from their workplace or their home office - the only requirement: a properly working Internet connection."

"When designing the learning environment, we decided on a combination of online training and live streaming to meet the different needs of learning," says Simone Dreher delightedly. She personally appreciates the opportunities to exchange ideas with the teacher and other participants in learning environments. This opportunity has been implemented by Haas Schleifmaschinen in its training program. Depending on the training topic and individual needs, modules can be conveniently taken as one-to-one lessons or in dialogue with the instructor and the other participants.

Systematic success: Multigrind® machine, Multigrind® software and Multigrind® know-how

"We have designed our teaching content to meet different needs", explains Simone Dreher. "We can start by imparting very basic machine tool knowledge to newcomers and career changers in the field of grinding. Our basic machine training courses are held separately, because there we teach handling, program selection and handling of error messages as well as tool change. We also give high priority to the components in the maintenance cabinet, the auxiliary units and preventive maintenance in the basic maintenance training.  In the basic maintenance training we illustrate how to use and set up the tool changer, how to change axes and spindles and how to measure the Multigrind® machine manually and semi-automatically.

In the Multigrind® software section, the grinding technology basics are also initially learned. The participants will get a good overview by the introduction to grinding, getting to know grinding tools and the consideration of control, characteristic and result variables in the grinding process. The aspects of interaction during grinding and dressing also help the participants to get a good overview before they start working on the basics of our grinding software Multigrind® Horizon. Important aspects here include creating and importing geometries, working in the contour editor and setting up the tool databases, but also basic programming. A separate training module for the Multigrind® Styx visualization software introduces the display of material removal during grinding and clarifies how to handle the results. Depending on requirements, further programming skills can be acquired, e.g. in the areas of inserts, rotary tools, 3D-CAD, CAM/CLS, turbine parts, gear cutting and broaching tools.

The measuring systems and measuring cycles used by Haas Schleifmaschinen are part of typical Multigrind® know-how. This section introduces probes, structure-borne sound and laser measurement systems for Multigrind® machines and explains how to use measurement cycles. Concrete tips for error analysis and elimination of errors enable efficient use of the measuring systems and measuring cycles. Know-how can also be acquired in the areas of electrical maintenance, parameter reference system and macro programming.

Building up competence very easily: Knowledge consolidation with appropriate exercises

"When learning", Simone Dreher continues, "the build-up of competence depends not only on the design of the learning environment, but also on the available space dedicated to practice and consolidation". For this reason, in addition to clear structures and an orientation towards didactic concepts, we attach great importance to the quality and taxonomy of the exercises.

Our training academy team is looking forward to your participation in one of our training courses.
