ISS and Haas Schleifmaschinen: Insight into the control cabinet
NASA: Mike Hopkins during maintenance work on the ISS.
Maintenance work in the weightlessness of the ISS is probably one of the most exciting tasks in an engineer's life, and I'm sure NASA astronaut and flight engineer Mike Hopkins enjoys every minute of his job up there. Even though the oversized "control cabinet" he's hanging in front of looks really confusing to me at first and second glance.
Haas Schleifmaschinen: Control cabinet of Multigrind® CA.
In contrast to the cabling on the ISS, the control cabinet of our Multigrind® CA grinding machine looks as if it was designed by a Swabian housewife.
He's not. But Gerhard Schnee, the head of our electrical department, attaches just as much importance to clarity and optimal accessibility as the famous Swabian housewife. After all, we don't want to confuse our users, but make grinding as easy as possible for them.
You can therefore be sure that the control cabinet of our new grinding machine, on which our design department is currently working, will be tidy.
What do you need for the control cabinet and the control of a grinding machine? Write us here in the blog.
See you next time:
Grinding with attitude!
