Grinding 4.0: Are You Coming? This year, Industry 4.0 is the star of the EMO 2017. “Connecting systems for intelligent production” is the somewhat vague slogan of this year’s trade show in Hanover. So what does this mean? It means that in a fully digitized production facility, informatics and software components are connected with mechanical and electronic parts via a data infrastructure (internet/intranet). Sounds good – but it only works if the software systems being used have open interfaces.
