How will tools be produced in future? That's what we at Haas Schleifmaschinen in Trossingen have been asked time and again by our customers. This close contact with has a long tradition. Many technological developments have their origin in a question that our demanding customers have confronted us with. Although complex tools are ground on many Multigrind® CU high-tech grinding machines, our previous product portfolio was rather too universal for tool grinders. This is because our machines from the Multigrind® series are all-rounders and can also do everything really well, which is why tools are not exclusively ground on the Multigrind® CU.

But anyone who grinds tools exclusively wants a machine of the future that masters exactly the specific challenges of the day after tomorrow. An innovative precision grinding machine that grows with its tasks and improves profitability as a reliable, uncomplicated production unit. 

In the industry, every development step ensures improvement. But what if we didn't just improve what has proven itself so far? What if we develop a precision grinding machine that is ahead of its time? If we offer solutions now that will not only make production better, faster and simpler in the future, but also much more flexible and significantly more efficient? If we can use a new type of tool grinding machine to make much better use of everything we have learned and finally throw everything overboard that has prevented us from doing so up to now? First, we took a close look at future requirements and the associated customer benefits. In the process, we discovered that the entire industry is waiting for an impulse. The question of how we will produce tools in the future is occupying the leading market players.

We know exactly what our technology can do and for which development leaps our software department must provide the basis. It quickly became clear to the tinkerers that bettering what already exists is not enough. If we were to follow this path, we would only orient ourselves to the status quo.

Anyone who knows Haas Schleifmaschinen knows that we only develop something new if we see ourselves in a position to fundamentally renew what already exists. And that doesn't just mean improving something. "We have a responsibility to provide our customers and potential customers with a solution that will enable them to take off steeply into the future," says Thomas Bader.
